Route des Grandes Alpes - D1

France • Day 2 of 3 - alternative route • Start: Bourg St Maurice • Finish: Guillestre • Distance: 140 miles • Riding time: 4 hours • An epic day in the mountains, starting with the ascent of Col de l'Iseran. Rather than the classic route, this is the (shorter) variation taking in Col du Mont Cenis and Montgenevre. It's a shorter day's ride to allow for taking two and a half days from Calais to reach the start point.
