South of England 500, day one afternoon • Start: Goodwood • Finish: Weymouth • Distance: 115 miles • Riding time: 3 hours • After a satisfying lunch at the home of the Festival of Speed, the route rapidly heads inland, using a few miles of major roads to dodge the urban sprawl of Southampton on the way to the quieter roads of the New Forest on the way to the overnight stop on the coast.
